Reso Stats!

Tonight, I offer you some stats! These are more for my benefit than anyone else’s, but since people like numbers, I suspect some people might be interested in all this.

It’s Resolution’s reviews, since the dawn of time (ie. since launch, in November 2008). In that time, we have apparently reviewed 173 games! How outstanding! And we’ve given lots of scores, too, since that’s what happens when you write a review. God forbid you just write words.

I find these numbers – which are listed quantity-per-score and then score-per-reviewer – quite intriguing, actually. But then I always was a nerd.  Here you go:

SCORES

10/10 – 5 (2.9%)
9/10 – 26 (15%)
8/10 – 35 (20.2%)
7/10 – 28 (16.2%)
6/10 – 28 (16.2%)
5/10 – 21 (12.1%)
4/10 – 9 (5.2%)
3/10 – 12 (6.9%)
2/10 – 6 (3.5%)
1/10 – 3 (1.7%)

Mean score: 6.5/10

TRUFAX: Daniel is the only reviewer to have awarded more than one 10/10 score. He gave both Shadow Complex and Uncharted 2 full marks.

TRUFAX 2: J.D. is the only person to have used top and bottom of the scoring spectrum, having awarded Mass Effect 2 10/10 and Zero Security 1/10.

TRUFAX 3: Lewis (that’d be me, then) has written the most reviews for Resolution – a total of 53, which averages at just under 0.8 games reviewed per week.

  1. Oh dear.
I appear to be rather critical! Although at least it could have been worse.
Imagine if I hadn’t reviewed LittleBigPlanet PSP, my average would have been very low I think*!

*I can’t be bothered to work it out

  2. Hooray! I’m not the harshest critic at Reso!

I can’t believe people play even worse gash than Rogue Warrior and WET for you, Lewis.

  3. Tom Senior wins, and Craig L is tied with Chris Evans for second place.

  4. Martin Gaston seems to be given quite a few 6/10 games by various places. It’s like that movie where Jim Carrey had the same hairstyle since he was in college, only with 6 instead of 23. Creepy.

  5. Hmm, my average seems to be very close for my average review score for TLOBF (as in, when we still gave out scores). I’ve done far more album reviews than game reviews though, mind. Stats, eh? I love ’em.
