My Uncle’s Charity Walk: Slap Cancer on the Nose

People who know me, or who’ve read my blog for a while, might know that my aunt passed away around this time last year, due to oesophageal cancer. In order to give that horrible bastard of an illness “a slap on the nose” as he puts it, my uncle is walking a thoroughly ludicrous distance for charity. He’s spending the next three weeks walking around Cornwall, on a route that will take him 288 miles and up hills which add up to twice the height of Mount Everest.

He must be nuts.

But it’s also an awesome, wonderful way to raise money for Cancer Research. And I wondered if any of you lot would be interested in donating anything to the cause.

Don’t feel pressured, of course. But I just thought I’d throw it out there. Even a tiny amount of extra money would, I’m sure, be enormously appreciated. So if you can afford to give up a few quid, and do want to get involved, here’s the Just Giving page.

Cheers folks.
